Introduction to Luniris OS

Note

Luniris OS is only available for users with a Louis’s Eyes system kit.

Luniris OS is a custom Linux-based operating system designed specifically for the Louis's Eyes system. It is built to be modular and fully customizable, allowing users to adapt the system to their needs through:

  • Features: Functionalities such as eye movement control, button-based glove management, and other core operations are implemented as features. These can be replaced, updated, or uninstalled as needed.
  • Resource Packs: Assets, scripts, and configurations required to render the eyes are bundled into resource packs. These packs can also be swapped or removed.

The Luniris OS web application is accessible via Wi-Fi at http://luniris.local from any modern web browser.

Accessing the Luniris OS App

First-time initialization

If you are initializing the system for the first time, Luniris OS will automatically activate its built-in Wi-Fi hotspot using the default credentials. The blue LED on the back of the left display will light up to confirm the hotspot is active.

Connecting to the System

The Luniris OS app can be accessed in two ways:

1. Wi-Fi Hotspot Mode

  • Ideal for on-the-go use.
  • Activate the hotspot by pressing the white button on the main system for 1 second.
  • The blue LED on the back of the left display will confirm the hotspot is active.
  • The Wi-Fi credentials will be displayed on the system's screens.
  • To disable the hotspot, press the white button again for 1 second.

2. Local Wi-Fi Mode

  • Perfect for home or office use.
  • The system can automatically connect to a local Wi-Fi network.
  • Configure your local Wi-Fi settings in the Luniris OS app.

Access the app

Once connected (either via hotspot or local Wi-Fi), open a web browser and navigate to http://luniris.local to access the app.
